Stock exchanges across the globe increasingly recognise that the best way to support their listed companies is through the provision of high-quality, in-depth equity research to ensure investors are able to make informed decisions about investing in these stocks. With growing volumes of trades generated by the private wealth and retail investors, who often lack access to high-quality research, exchanges are directing more resource to the provision of equity research to meet this demand.
Edison, with its sector breadth and international profile, is becoming the preferred research partner to stock exchanges for such schemes.
Klaus Schinkel, director and head of German operations at Edison Investment Research said: “We are delighted to be chosen by the Deutsche Börse to help improve quality of and access to information on companies listed on its new SME market, Deutsche Börse Scale. As the buy-side increasingly fragments, our in-depth sector knowledge and expertise combined with global distribution platforms raises the profile and improves the understanding of these companies with investors across the globe.”
Deutsche Börse is one of the largest exchange organisations worldwide and operator of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange. Frankfurt is a leading trading centre for securities as well as the largest of the German stock exchanges, with a share turnover of more than 85%.
