Investment summary

APQ is a global emerging markets company targeting a sustainable and growing dividend as well as capital growth, by focusing on investment opportunities with the potential to generate significant income and long-term growth. After listing in August 2016, the experienced management team moved quickly but cautiously to deploy £78m in IPO funds and the company indicates that it is on track to meet the targeted 6% dividend return (on the 100p issue price) in FY17, with 3p per share paid in H1. To support its growth ambitions and take advantage of investment opportunities, APQ recently placed c £20m in convertible unsecured loan stock at a coupon of 3.5%, which have now been admitted to the order book for fixed income securities on the London Stock Exchange's International Securities Market. The end-August NAV/share was 96.49p.
