In collaboration with the Deutsche Börse’s Venture Network, we are delighted to present a selection of private companies with innovations in fintech, software, e-commerce, infrastructure and digital health. All companies meet the Venture Network’s eligibility criteria in terms of growth metrics, and are supported by a sophisticated ecosystem to support young companies and early-stage investments through to exit.

Cargonexx, Hamburg, Germany

Cargonexx mission is to build a Europe-wide, intelligent transport network that significantly increases the utilisation of long-haul trucks. Their core business is self-learning algorithms, which predict prices and capacities for truck transports and assemble shipments to optimal tour combinations. The network acts dynamically. In the event of delays, traffic jams or accidents, it reschedules the tour combinations in seconds to guarantee optimum utilization. Cargonexx acts as a digital forwarder. Their customers are large shipping companies. They take over their transports as responsible forwarding agents and order free capacities in their network of registered transport companies and leased capacities. The orders are processed digitally.

Helpling, Berlin, Germany

Helpling is the leading online marketplace for home services outside the US. On the website or via the app, you can book an insured cleaner within a few clicks. For service providers, the innovative online service makes it easier than ever to find new clients and to manage when and where they want to be active. Helpling was founded in early 2014 by Benedikt Franke and Philip Huffmann. Among its investors are Rocket Internet, Mangrove Capital, Lakestar, APACIG and Accel. Helpling currently offers its services in 9 countries: Australia, Germany, Italy, France, Ireland (hassle.com/ie), UK (hassle.com), UAE, the Netherlands and Singapore.

Numares Health, Regensburg, Germany

Numares develops and markets products for clinical diagnostics and life science research. The company’s products are medical and diagnostic tests (with CE marking) run on NMR (nuclear magnetic resonance) measurement systems for the use in clinical practice, e.g. for diagnosis and therapy monitoring. Numares is on the market with a lipoprotein test (lipoFIT) and plans to launch further test in 2018 and thereafter on its self-developed AXINON test system. The NMRs, the AXINON testing system, the respective (software based) diagnostic tests, and related diagnostic consumables are sold globally to larger laboratories.

Smaato, San Francisco, USA

Smaato is the leading global real-time mobile advertising platform, connecting 10,000+ advertisers — including 91 of the Top 100 Ad Age brands — with over 90,000 mobile publishers and app developers. Springlane, Düsseldorf, Germany

Springlane fuels people’s passion for cooking. Started as a shopping club for cooking enthusiasts, Springlane quickly became the leading online retailer in Germany, offering more than 15 thousand products from 750 premium brands. The combination of its state-of-the-art business intelligence technology and a unique content driven e-commerce approach for customer acquisition and retention set the fundament to build integrated consumer brands, which became the company’s strategic focus in 2018. Today, Springlane ranks among the most influential food content websites in Europe and develops and markets products under four differentiated brands with sales in Germany, Austria, UK, France, Italy and Spain.

Teqcycle Solutions, Munich, Germany

Teqcycle Solutions GmbH sees itself as a coordinator of customised take back processes and programs for mobile terminal devices and guarantees its clients an exceptional transparency. They act as a management instance and makes use of an independently tested, global network of service providers (repair, refurbishment, logistics, recycling companies) who use Teqcycle’s software solution Reversys. This ensures end-to-end documentation of the flow of goods and provides a clear view of the process chain at all times. Due to its independence in the choice of service providers Teqcycle is able to provide a cost-optimised service free of conflicts of interest. Teqcycle focuses on in-house programming of take back platforms (shop take back (point of sale/online), online cash back, public collections, corporate mobile phone take back) and the linkage with the Reversys system, the centrepiece of Teqcycle. Flexibility and customisation of IT systems to suit your legacy processes are particular strengths of the company.
