Ebiquity (EBQ)

Business description

Ebiquity is an independent marketing analytics specialist providing a range of business-critical data, analysis and consultancy services to advertisers and media owners on an international basis.

Investment summary

Ebiquity’s interims were as indicated in July’s update, with good performance from the Media and Analytics & Tech segments. The strong new business pipeline underpins improving revenue and profit in H218 and our forecasts were unchanged on the results. The provisional findings of the Phase 2 CMA investigation on the Intel disposal are that it should proceed without conditions, with the full report to be issued by 9 December. This will allow the group to focus on its core consultancy offering and markedly improve the balance sheet position. Kevin McNair has now taken over the CFO role. The continuing structural shifts in marketing should make for a fertile trading environment for an independent, trusted partner to guide decision-making.

Executive Interview - Ebiquity

Industry outlook

The marketing sector continues to undergo considerable change, driven at least in part by issues of accountability and transparency, with both marketers and agencies finding their business models challenged. Ebiquity’s positioning as a leading independent media and marketing consultancy looks increasingly compelling. The group's growth acceleration plan aims to capitalise on its position to increase top-line growth on a more sustainable margin.
