Company news

Investment summary

New appointments (senior NED, head of marketing, field CTO) indicate the company's investment in scaling the business at a time when revenue growth should start to accelerate. Cloud partners Microsoft and Alibaba are likely to be key drivers of this, where revenues are recurring with good potential to scale-up. The FY result will depend on the rate progress with large strategic deals, but with good visibility on c US$10m revenues from previous bookings and renewals, a sequentially much stronger H2 looks assured. Further progress with strategic partners and a strong H2 could be a watershed for the perception of WANdisco's growth fundamentals.

Industry outlook

WANdisco's core Fusion product enables clients to move large amounts of data over large distances while still using it. This capability means that the company is exceptionally well placed to benefit from the rapid shift of data to the cloud (both for pure cloud and hybrid environments) and potentially Blockchain as well.
